Since 1877, The Fresh Air Fund, a not-for-profit agency, has provided free summer experiences in the country to more than 1.7 million New York City children from disadvantaged communities. Each year, thousands of children visit volunteer host families in 13 states and Canada through the Friendly Town Program or attend Fresh Air Fund camps.
Sara Wilson from The Fresh Air Fund contacted me and wanted to let everyone know how thrilled and thankful they are for everyone who supported the cause.
You can still donate to this year's runners by visiting this site: http://freshair.kintera.org/.

Running for charity is a great way to connect with your community. I am currently training for the ING NYC Marathon. For each mile I run I donate one non-perishable food item.
Hey Hilary! That is so awesome! You rock!
Alright, alright..... You don't have to beg. Sheesh! ;)
I like give and take in a relationshiop like ours, ya know?
I am starting to run for charity, too! I love it. Back when I was i grade school, we did Jump-Rope-A-Thons for MS. very good memories.
This saturday I am participating in my first Half, which is benefit race for our local children's hospital. In october, i am doing a dual-duathlon and will be doing that for Athletes for a Cure.
Let's keep up the good work!
